Fisher-Price Rock, Roll ‘n Ride Trike

Fisher-Price Rock, Roll 'n Ride TrikeThe Fisher-Price Rock, Roll ‘n Ride Trike is an excellent Christmas 2018 gift for toddlers 18 months to 5 years. When our Granddaughters and grandsons were young we owned this Fisher-Price Rock, Roll ‘n Ride Trike. It was definitely a much sought after toy when they came to visit.

Although it is very easy to change the trike from a ride on vehicle to a rocker we really did not use this feature very often. The children preferred to use it outdoors and to be pushed along. There is a footrest for the children to use and this keeps their feet from dragging on the ground. For me the handle was at a very comfortable height.

Fisher-Price Rock, Roll 'n Ride TrikeWhen it was time to remove the handle and use it as a trike, it became a favorite ride on toy. However I do take issue that children as old as 5 are still interested in using it. I suspect it may depend upon their size but our Granddaughters are not especially big or tall and they had outgrown it by 4 years old.

What Others Say About the Fisher-Price Rock, Roll ‘n Ride Trike

Fisher-Price Rock, Roll 'n Ride TrikeThe Fisher-Price Rock, Roll ‘n Ride Trike was a very much liked and used toddler toy in our family. Many others felt the same:

We love these multi-function toys. It’s durable, attractive, and easily changed from a rocker for indoor use, to a pusher/trike for outdoor use. In fact, our 18-month Grandson has learned to pull the locking pin (a big yellow, plastic dowel-shaped thing) out of the handle to convert it to the pusher/trike so he can go outside – hint, hint! When he gets a bit older, we can remove the handle altogether.
I purchased this trike for my 10 month old son for Christmas. I originally had it set up as a rocker and he didn’t seem so impressed. We quickly transformed it to a trike and to our surprise, my non-walking 10 month old was mobile. He loved it and took off in the house immediately. He’s now 14 months and still rides it almost daily. Great quality and should last him until he 3-4.
This is my 2nd purchase of this trike. Our 1st trike lasted over 5 years of heavy use (left outside in WI winters, toddlers to school age children playing with it, etc). We purchased a 2nd because we loved the 1st one so much (great for a toddler who wants to pedal but needs some help sometimes or you can’t trust to stop at the end of the driveway!). I’m hoping to get another 5 years out of this one!

Both my 2- and 4-year-old grandchildren love this trike so much, I had to get a second one! The four-year-old is now pedaling on his own. He seems to like this much more than the “hot wheels” – type of tricycle he also has; don’t know why.

Let me start by saying that we have owned this trike for over four years. I have 3 kids ages 5, 7 and 9. They still ride this trike after four years! They started using it as a rocker for a short time, and quickly moved to the push trike setup. It has gotten so much use and abuse over the years. Now, even the 7 and 9 year old still like to play with it. (Technically, they are both probably too big for it, but they are still able to pedal with their knees bent out a bit.)
I don’t write reviews too often, but I felt compelled to write about such a great purchase. How often do we spend money on toys for our kids that break or rarely get played with, or they outgrow them before they get much use? (More times than I would care to think about for us!)
